War is Over

As relevant as ever… see you all in the New Year

K’naan video and mp3 download – Somalia

I like K’naan, he’s fresh, tells a good story and represents East Africa strong. His blend of Hip Hop, poetry, acapella and African rhythms is unique. I’ve been banging out his last album for the last few months (yea I’m a little late) and am delighted to hear he’s got a new album on the way called Troubador, which is due to drop January 13th. Troubador will feature cameos from Mos Def, Chubb Rock, Damian Marley, and more. Here’s a video for a track called Somalia, it’s not his hottest track but its relevant still…

If you missed Nas on Kanye’s Glow in the Dark tour (sounds like a rubbish condom ad campaign) here’s some footage of Nas performing some illmatic classics, the sound is rubbish! but might make you happy you never made it!

New Podcast / B-Side goodness

It’s been a little bit too long since the last podcast but we’ve got something that was well worth the wait. Felix from B-Side Records has put together a lovely little taster of what the B-Side crew gets up to.

Some great down tempo gritty vibes and a couple of tasty mash ups. Download it, post it on your myspace, facebook, do what you want.. enjoy it.

If you like what you hear go to www.bsidebeats.com and download some more great music… for FREE yes!!!
