Radiohead ‘Reckoner’ RE/MIX

Radio head have released stems of their track Reckoner on itunes so you can wield your remixing magic and maybe get your track heard by the Radiohead crew in their Reckoner Re/mix competition.

Go to the remix site and listen to as many or as few of the remixes as you like and vote for your favorites (save some votes for me though yea).

The tracks cost just under $2 U.S., not quite free but the same price as a cheap loaf of bread or a small tub of cottage cheese, pretty sweet really (sweeter than the last remix competition they had where the tracks cost $5, proper stink, in fact in the spirit of Radiohead they should be giving the shit away but I’m sure their record company has a thing or two to do with it, still!!!!!).

Anyway I’ve started my ‘experimental, avant garde, post modern, sound mass’ remix which should be topping the charts in a week or so, watch out now… I’ll post it so you can all laugh at me.

MPC championship of the World!

O.K. last night I rocked on up to the MPC Battle at bodega in Wellington N.Z. The night promised much as N.Z.’s heavy weight 16 pad controllers converged to battle for the World title (it’s apparently the only MPC battle in the world so they claim the rights to call it the world championships though it’s really just an N.Z. thang).

The night got off to a flyer and the opensouls boys, Julian Dyne and Jeremy OTA showing that they could produce some hot beats from the samples provided in less than 6 days and hit enough buttons so the crowd could have a visual clue to what the **** was going on.
