Hipsters ay?

I guess this is what Honda wanted us to do when they came up with this ad – viral marketing. But it is a genius add which I think most of you will had a pretty good chuckle over. I’m still a little confused though, most ‘Hipsters’ defiantly don’t have enough money to buy a new Honda Jazz ….

I will be speaking at the event between 12 & 1pm about our recent trip to India visiting our cotton farmers and factory where Kowtow garments are made.

Pre-register for the event at thebigshwop.co.nz and for further info please see attached flyer. Each Shwoper also receives a bunch of amazing gifts from Trilogy skincare, Ecostore and a glass of organic wine provided by Momo. So spread the word, it’s a fantastic way to spend a Sunday and get geared up in new clothes that can’t possibly be more environmentally friendly than swapping!

Knife Loves Spoon – Cooking & Baking At Its Best

On Sunday’s I love to be domestic. Wake up, clean the house, eat a yummy breakfast, listen to the Jazz show and cook! Over the past year I have really got into cooking and baking with ultra healthy ingredients. Substituting sugar for agave or maple syrup. Glutinous wheat flour for buckwheat, quinoa or millet flour. And eating raw as much as possible. This type of diet has had a major effect in my life with increased energy levels, better skin & overall health.

My two very good friends recently launched their own cooking/baking blog titled Knife Loves Spoon. Emphasis is on healthy but very delicious recipes accompanied by their gorgeous photography. So when it comes to Sunday, I get excited to see what new treats Julia and Jodie have posted for me to try and make. You wont be disappointed.

Forest & Bird Best Fish Guide

It is well know that our waters are overfished and unsustainable fishing practices are used to satisfy our love for eating fish. With over popluated world we no longer live in times of natural ubandance and have to make smart choices whether it’s choosing vintage over new, a vegeterain dinner over a steak or catching the bus to work rather than driving. We are all individually accountable.

The Forest & Bird Best Fish Guide is a credit card sized guide to keep in your wallet, which you can always have on hand when buying fish. It lets you know which fish are sustainable to purchase and which ones are a big red no-no due to unsustainable fishing techniques such as Orange Roughy & Snapper. If you don’t live in NZ check with your countries Forest & Bird equivalent organisation, I am sure they will be able to help you.
